Notes from the 2020 Curatorial Workshop | 23-26 June 2020 |Bucharest Biennale.
Wednesday 24 June
On the second day of the workshop, we look at the different ways of thinking of exhibition with respect to historical interpretation.
There have developed since the 1990s a number of competing approaches to exhibition histories. What does it mean to make exhibition an object of historical analysis? How are exhibition practices implicated in historical or temporal processes and frames? What are some of the different analytic frames employed with respect to exhibition as an historical form and ensemble of practices and conventions?
There are some fragmentary discussions and sources on exhibition histories here.
And here you will find some short notes form the second day of the workshop.
