
Helaleh Ghaderi was born in the city of Piranshahr in Iranian Kurdistan, and came to Sweden in 2020. From childhood she was interested in literature and reading in both Kurdish and Persian languages. Having read many novels in Persian, Ghaderi contacted the authors and asked them a lot about the books and their work. Ghaderi entered university in 2000 and graduated with a degree in Arabic language and literature. After graduation, she was hired as a high school language teacher and continued to teach for meny years. She married a book publisher and with this came the opportunity to also work in publishing, beginning her work with Kurdish language translation. With this interest and experience in publishing Ghaderi was able to obtain a license to establish an imprint and press in Iran. A gifted linguist Ghaderi has competency in Kurdish, Persian, Arabic, and Swedish.
