Masoud Yousefi was born in Sanandaj, Kurdistan and lives in Gothenburg, Sweden. He began his artistic activities in the Kurdistan Youth Theater and Cinema Association as an actor, this led to performing in various and successful theatre productions, appearing in short films and feature films that mostly made it to prominent festivals around the world, and appearing in various TV series and segments (including work in radio, dubbing, directing live and recorded programmes.) Yousefi’s activities have mostly reflected the social and political problems of Kurdistan and Iran. His artistic practice has continued in Sweden with GöteborgsOperan, theater performance, participation in International kör Gothenburg, and the shooting, producing and directing of several short films. He has also participated in the beautification project of the city of Gothenburg, konst mosaik.
He has won many acting awards from film, cinema and theatre festivals.
Massoud enjoys reading poems of famous Kurdish poets, including Sherko Bekes, watching movies, theatre productions and music concerts, and he is very interested in nature and hiking, cycling and swimming. He is most focused on acting because he is very interested in playing different roles of different people in the society, and by doing this, he wants to experience the different situations that people find themselves in, and this situation is exciting for him. Masoud’s latest project is a feature film about a Kurdish teacher who tries to teach the children in their mother tongue and faces many problems along the way. A trailer for this larger feature – “Utan Gräns” (“Without Borders) – was produced for the OPEN UP exhibition in the art space Temporary Stabilizations in October 2022.

شروع فعالیتهای هنری از سال ١٣٧٠ در انجمن نمایش و انجمن سینما جوان کوردستان بعنوان بازیگر که محصول این فعالیتها، اجرایتئاترهای مختلف و موفق، حضور در فیلمهای کوتاه و سینمایی که اکثرا به فستیوالهای مطرح دنیا راه پیدا کرده اند، حضور در سریالها وبخش های مختلف تلویزیون مانند رادیو، دوبله، کارگردانی برنامه های زنده و ضبط شده.
فعالیتهای مسعود یوسفی بیشتر بازتاب دهنده مشکلات اجتماعی و سیاسی کوردستان و ایران بوده است.
ادامه فعالیتهای هنری در GöteborgsOperan شهر گوتنبرگ سوئد، اجرای تئاتر، حضور در International kör گوتنبرگ.

دارای جوایز متعدد بازیگری از فستیوالهای فیلم و سینما و تئاتر.
علاقمندی های مسعود خواندن شعرهای شاعران نامدار کورد از جمله شێرکو بێکەس، دیدن فیلم، تئاتر و کنسرتهای موسیقی و علاقهزیادی به طبیعت و کمپین و دوچرخه سواری و شنا دارد.
بیشترین تمرکز او بر روی بازیگری است زیرا علاقه زیادی به اجرای نقشهای مختلف از افراد مختلف جامعه دارد و با این کار میخواهدتجربه موقعیتهای مختلفی که آدمها در این موقعیتها قرار میگیرند را نسبتا تجربه کند و این شرایط برایش هیجان انگیز است .
جدیدترین پروژه مسعود فیلم سینمایی بلندی است که در مورد یک معلم کورد میباشد که تلاش میکند بچه ها به زبان مادری درسبخوانند که در این راه دچار مشکلات متعددی می شود.
