Per Ohlson got his first guitar when he was 16 years old, and growing up with the synthpop, bluesy progressive rock and instrumental music of the 70s and 80s, laid the foundation of his future sound and compositions. Early on, experiments with magical soundscapes and mesmerising melodies as far from commercial pop as possible were in focus of the music. After a few years of gospel choirs, a framework started to crystalize with influences from all the experiences made. Per moved from Stockholm to Gothenburg ten years ago, and started releasing tracks for digital download as well as streaming services. After increasing requests of physical medium albums, preparations are being made to release a full length vinyl. As soon as covid restrictions were released, the live scene started to gain momentum. Per made a few appearances at the Gothenburg Open Stage, where he met Nada who was in need of an instrumentalist for an ad hoc performance.

Per and Nada – the duo – will perform in the festival party on Wednesday 21 June in Glashuset (18:00-21:30). Come along and listen to their unique sound.
Beneath warm melodic harmonies and uplifting rhythms, the duo of Per and Nada performs original music along with interpretations of both well known songs and hidden gems, adapted to their own style and timbre. The original compositions of Per Ohlson are centered around shimmering airy vocals, the ambience of lush electric guitars often laid out on a bed of rich synth pads. The songs feature mellow lyrics inspired by life troubles and joys, oscillating between spirit and melancholy with subjects ranging between mental health, love and happiness, and the letting go of destructive control of moments of life.
