My name is Shenyan and I am 17 years old. I was born in Kurdistan but moved to Sweden when I was 8 years old. Growing up, I did a lot of different things. Among other things, I have played piano and badminton. But from a young age I have painted, both at home and at school, with coloured pencils and water colors. When we moved to Sweden, I developed an interest in starting to paint pictures. I wanted to try new things and challenge myself. This led to me painting my first painting when I was 10 years old. Soon after, I became much more interested in paintings and painted even more. In about a year I had painted 8 paintings. But the older I got, the more I wanted to focus on school and my education. Because of that, I stopped painting and instead focused on school. Of course, this does not mean that I have lost interest, I will most likely continue to paint in the future as a side hobby. This is the third time I have an exhibition but open up has so far been the most important for me. I look forward to participating in these exhibitions again in the future with new ideas and art.
